Piano Warehouse is one of the largest retailers of both new, secondhand and digital pianos in the UK, with showrooms now in Hazlemere. We are main dealers for Yamaha, Kawai and Ritmuller acoustic pianos, as well as Yamaha and Kawai digital pianos.

Piano Warehouse  specialises in one instrument – The pianos. Covering everything from sales and rentals to restoration, Piano moving and piano storage,  repairs and tuning.

Our technicians are experienced in all aspects of piano maintenance, restoration and tuning.

Piano Warehouse  and its staff prides itself on being able to offer the best deals to our customers due to our size and ability to get the best prices from our suppliers. We also aim to offer the very best level of service and aftercare once the piano has been installed in your home.

Piano Warehouse is also fully geared to offer the most comprehensive countrywide delivery and after sales service, with our specialist moving team and network of tuner technicians across the UK as well as our own experience in-house piano tuners.

Piano Warehouse  started out by exporting second hand pianos to Italy, France and the USA in 1975. This was at a time when there was a surfeit of old pianos that had accumulated since Victorian times and were idling in people’s homes across the UK (due to ever increasing forms of other types home entertainment). The sheer quantity, quality and price made them very desirable to overseas dealers. In 1977 the business expanded into retailing of restored pianos from showroom premises in North London and a year later on the back of increasing demand for our pianos we moved to larger premises in Hampstead.

The business continued to grow and expanded into stocking a wide range of new pianos, outgrowing the Hampstead premises. We then opened an additional showroom in Camden Lock in North London which focused on second hand instruments while the Hampstead showroom focused on new instruments. In 1985 we combined both showrooms by moving to new larger premises in Highgate Road, Kentish Town. This offered much larger space to further increase the range of pianos on offer including the growing popularity of digital pianos. At the same time the business gradually moved away from selling old restored pianos. Inevitably as time went by the availability became more restricted and the condition of those pianos that were available left a lot to be desired due to the accumulated effects of age and modern central heating, (not, thankfully, an issue with new pianos).

In 1995 Piano Warehouse bought a large piano retail business in Surbiton, Surrey that had been in business for over forty years, and has given Piano Warehouse the ability to offer customers from North West London right across to South West London and Surrey easier access to view our comprehensive range of acoustic and electric pianos.  In May of 2012 our Kentish Town showroom and warehouse closed due to redevelopment and we relocated to better and much larger premises in Willesden Green allowing for a larger range of pianos to be on display.

In April 2016, due to the end of our lease in Willesden Green and redevelopment plans for the site, Piano Warehouse again had to sadly close its North London showroom and warehousing. After more than forty years of trading in North London we moved our warehousing near to our extensive Surbiton showrooms from where we continued trade and serve customers from all over the London area and beyond.

The story doesn’t end there , having worked closely with Greg and his team from Countrywide Pianos for over 25 years, we joined together, allowing for the  capacity to carry large stocks for speedy delivery countrywide, this joining of minds was a natural progression and allows us to provide even greater choice,  serving London and the rest of the UK. The warehouse has now relocated again  with the main showroom at HP15 7NU but its good to know it’s still us, same people, same great customer service.
